The Victor Pinchuk Foundation and the Pinchuk Art Centre open the Application Procedure for the third edition of the Future Generation Art Prize 2014. Young artists up to 35 wherever they live and work can apply starting from January 13 till April 12, 2014 at the competition’s website.
Dianne Smith, Lindsey Dunnagan and Lynne’ Bowman, have all been accepted into the 2013 UNT Artist’s Book Competition at the Willis Library at The University of North Texas.

There is NO THEME
Any subject matter is acceptable, but all images must be done in a photographic or printed media only. No more than 5 images per submission, please.
The Hand is also accepting articles that describe a contemporary body of photographic or printmaking work or a recent or current exhibition featuring primarily works in those media. Art criticism is also welcome. You must include 4 images with your article with contact information/ releases from artists whose work you include.

Maggie Taylor to juror the 5th installment Of Memory, Bone and Myth, National Photography Exhibition at the University of North Dakota’s Department of Art & Design.
Currently accepting work with the theme Shelters.
SHELTERS: Whether it’s homemade, nature-made, diagrams, ideas and plans for a potential, photographs/paintings of your own, in the woods, in the city, underground, above ground, for humans, for beavers, about, concerning around, apparently about, blatantly about, or simply three sticks leaning against a down tree to create a shelter, lets see it. Submissions are only considered it they are somehow related to the topic. If it is questionably ‘about’ the topic, convince us.

For this exhibition, juror Robin Rice will select up to 25 images for display in the main gallery, and up to an additional 35 to be included in the online gallery. All images will be reproduced in an exhibition catalogue available for purchase. A Juror’s Choice and Director’s Choice will also be announced and will receive a free copy of the catalogue. Eligibility: College level students including those in community type classes. Please provide a scan of
your school id card or course enrollment invoice. Only current students will be accepted.
Submission Format: Submit entries via email. Include your artist statement and 10 images as one PDF le under
10MG in size. Include in the subject heading your rst and last name.

1) All accepted work must arrive in San Antonio by February 24, 2014. Ship/deliver to:
1906 S. Flores, San Antonio, Texas 78204. Please include the word Photohive on the label.
2) All work must be framed in a professional manner and ready to hang. We reserve the right
to refuse work if it does not meet these standards. Benavides Framing in San Antonio is
willing to assist students in providing low cost custom framing and matting. Prints must arrive
to the frame shop by February 17th to participate in this oer.
3) Include return postage for prints to be shipped back to you when the exhibition concludes
in February 2015. Prints WITHOUT postage will NOT be returned. Prints will be returned in the
container in which they were received. No packing peanuts.
