SCRAP is a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire creative reuse and environmentally sustainable behavior by providing affordable materials and educational programs to the community. What does that mean for TWU and for Denton?  We are a great resource for all types of artists, crafters, designers, educators and students.  SCRAP takes donations of clean and usable art, craft, sewing and office supplies (such as fabric/notions, canvas/paints, bottle caps, yarn, magazines, greeting cards and SO MUCH MORE) and sells them at a fraction of what they cost retail (fabric is $2 per yard, yarn between $1-$2 per skein, tubes of paint for $3 or less). We have many exciting programs such as our Re:Vision Gallery where we display work made of 75% or more reused materials and our Re:Boutique which is a consignment boutique for artisans who make accessories/decor/etc out of reused materials.
